Tech Girl, No Bro, Wins

I had tried and tried and tried for a few years to make one credit card account let me log in through the website, not the phone app. It just wouldn’t do it. So I paid all my other bills and accounts laptop but for a few years that account got paid by my phone.

Well, today, problem solved. At least today. I can log into the site with basic user ID and today’s new password, which so far, for today, seems to be getting me in. It took lots of hours (and a lot of verify codes, like a dozen) and the right tech support person (service economy, folks, customer support are so very patient, got to work with them). Knowing something helps, and courtesy helps.

I did a lot of phone stuff last week. Hours and hours and hours. People here told me the transition would challenge my patience. Which it did. But. The transfer seems to be mostly done. Still a little to work out. Tech people (get the right one) told me it is mostly there, but I’m getting email and text and talk on new phone so for today a win.

Phone win. The new brick came today and that phone has been at 100 percent charge so fast and lasting.

And another win for the day. A while ago I switched out laptops. The old one had all my saved sites on a bar across the top of the screen, which worked great for me. New one, Chrome was making me save bookmarks and their folders, on the right side which I did not want. This afternoon, after a couple of days, I got all my bookmark folders set up on new laptop, bar on top of screen, and that took a few hours too but I did it. (My own favorite favorite OMG I want that house. In the Art folder. My first career choice was architect but sadly I cannot draw.) Drag and drop working again. Happy day.

Next week WordPress. More patience and a lot of legal pad scribbles to move but it will work.
