Sunny Saturday Morning

This morning no posting about the crazy. Which is keeping getting worse. Take a break. But I can’t. Just a few minutes of MSNBC or the Bulwark. Just a few. Control myself.

I love that the mornings come a little earlier and the evenings last a little longer now. Not spring yet but coming.

No bad storms. No icy cold. At least not today.

Quiet and peaceful. Quinn the kitten thankfully calm. Purring.

I’m walking with no knee braces. Can do sit ups, and elliptical, and for now, chair yoga (the broken knee, not taking chances with child pose on the floor).

Little notes stuck on my wall. Good idea. Can’t avoid them, they are staring at me. Sit up straight. Don’t slump. Stretch the knee. Do your (my) sit ups and elliptical spins and chair yoga. Walk until you can run again. Motion good.

Eat. For me, sometimes it’s hard. I have two rules. Only eat when hungry and non processed. Nutrition good.

Go through that box of file folders collected from my desk while I was in hospital for a really long time with all the broken bones and a bad infection, buckets of blood. Who knew that getting things back in order could be so satisfying. Organization good.

Journaling.

Reading.

I just got this book, a couple of years old, Keynes Hayek, (I’m team Keynes) (really relevant now) and the latest New Yorker (just the smart writing), this week. Still partway through Bernie Sanders and latest Thomas Piketty. Got to finish.

A little later make the beef stew. Lots of veg. Perfect February day.
