It’s Gonna Be Spring

I had a bit of a rough health year 2024. Broken bones. Some serious bleeding like three buckets that night. Gracious be for the helpers. Good news my platelets are pretty normal now. My blood pressure is generally low, seriously low during the blood stream, but now healthy, if still lowish range. A lot of people have the opposite problem.

Since back from hospital a few months ago, walking pretty well and no falls. No dreaded dizzies. That’s going in the right direction.

Someone I once knew told me to sit up straight and don’t slump. Good advice. Got those notes taped to the wall.

Stretch my knee. It got broke, but all the braces and stuff are gone now. Wires and screws permanent. Stretch the knee. Note taped to the wall.

Do the elliptical. Sit ups. If it takes chair yoga, because knee, fine. Mat not a good decision right now. Note taped to the wall.

I want to be be in the lap pool but nurses (aren’t they best of the best) (And some CNAs, one shoved me with a cast on my arm, eff her, but mostly I really talked with, we all have life stories) told me to work back with patience.

Eat healthy. I’m returning to veg and thoughtful protein. But do eat. Note taped to the wall.

Be at peace with my episodic sleep. There’s no night ritual that will change it. It’s how I’m built. Can pay a lot of bills and clean up scribbles and sort files at two three four in the morning. Which makes me then sleep better, because things are getting taken care of. And then light comes.

I am so looking forward to spring and summer. Daylight savings. Longer days. Some positive things came to my life at exactly at that time of year. My energy.
