Another Gorgeous Morning

I think this is the first day for a while that I’ve heard the birds outside. Friday perfect warm day here. Sunshine. Clean laundry. Accounts done (that anxiety at zero now and it’s not even noon). Kitten Quinn never know. Sometimes he hangs and purrs, sometimes just sleeps, sometimes manic running.

So much support. Family first. Great neighbors. Amazing medical pros as I’m getting back strength. That’s going to take some work. One step, next step.

Rachael Maddow back five days on MSNBC.

Some necessary spirit. I’m a lib, I own that with pride. I do go to MSNBC and Bulwark when needed.

I love quotes. The teeny version of biography, autobiography, memoir. (Big fan of life writing since browsing my small town library shelf in elementary school, and actually had a job in Austin helping women write their stories, got the book published.)

From my Rachael Maddow streams. Channeling Eleanor Roosevelt, if she still could be here in 2025. Eleanor’s book, You Learn By Living, on my nightstand and it still seems so relevant. Pick it up, open to any page. You’ll find a quote and feel better.

Back to Rachael Maddow.

“Every time you don’t try, you lose. Sometimes when you try, you win.”

“Refuse to go quietly. Make as much good trouble (no vandalism, no violence) every day that you can for as long as you can.”

And Bulwark, which I stream every day.

New words…”stunt capitalism.” Funny and pathetic at the same time. Demeaning, disrespectful showroom at Casa Blanca and embarrassing fries show with of all people, someone, disgraced, handling, or not, likely not, public health which is supposed to be the job. Kids in Texas have measles and are dying. Get back to work.

My very nice neighbor was here this morning and talking about his Mother who said “if you think about all the bad things that could happen, you wouldn’t get out of bed unless to get under the bed.”

We’re going through a scary time. But it will end.
