Almost New Year, New Planting

Craving salad bar, hot bar, olive bar, I made my way to Whole Foods Sunday afternoon. Lines of SUVs roping trees onto car tops with the smell of all that Christmas and just simply happy people looking forward to the holiday.

There I found a teeny tree wrapped in burlap (over on the left there), just perfect for now. (One side of tag named it “European Cypress” (or “Chamaecyparis lawsoniana “Elwoodi”…Python speak, but I’m quoting direct off the tag, seriously) while the other side of tag described it as “native to the western United States”.) Go figure. Maybe “pining for the fjords.” Python speak.

[Aside. I can’t go started on the Spanish Inquisition comfy chair. If you know it, you know it, if you don’t, you don’t. But it is awfully absurd funny.]

[Aside. My brothers on family room floor could recite every Python joke by memory. Crack up laughing when we were young.]

Unlike a Christmas tree, my little tiny tree could last and grow if I can take right care of it. In spring hope I’ll get my next generation of jade plants and have back my tiny garden.

Perfect start to work/writing week ahead.
